Make an omelet in a mug on Aug. 14

The Orchard Park Senior Center, 70 Linwood Ave., offers many programs for people older than 55. Contact the center at 662-6452 to register for programs. The Senior Center director is Debbie Santiago.

Weekly events include bridge at 12:30 p.m. Mondays; mind aerobics at 1 p.m. Mondays; bingo at 1 p.m. Tuesdays; popcorn and a movie at 1 p.m. Wednesdays; knitting at 1 p.m. Thursdays; and pinochle at 1 p.m. Fridays.

National Root Beer Float Day— At 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, enjoy a root beer float and the music of Jack Civiletto. The cost is $3. Register and pay in the office.

Breakfast omelet in a mug — At 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, make a feta cheese and tomato breakfast omelet in a mug. Bring your own large mug. Ingredients will be supplied. The cost is $1. Register and pay in the office.

Beginner tai chi — will be held at 1 p.m. Thursdays from now through Aug. 23. The cost for the eight-week session is $30.

Men’s fitness — will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from now through Oct. 4. The cost of the 10-week session is $40.

Tai chi for arthritis — will be held from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursdays from Aug. 23 through Oct. 11. The class is free.

Mind aerobics will be held at 1 p.m. Mondays. There is no cost for the brainteaser activity.

Bingo will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesdays. Boards for the hourlong program are $1.

Mahjong will be held at 1 p.m. Fridays.

The meal calendar is as follows: Aug. 13, pork ribette; Aug. 14, beef stew; Aug. 15, cranberry chicken salad; Aug. 16, meatloaf.
