Taste of Orchard Park slated for July 25

The 14th annual Taste of Orchard Park will be held from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, on North Buffalo Street in the Village of Orchard Park. The event features a variety of food vendors, food trucks and businesses displaying merchandise and services. For more information, call the Orchard Park Chamber of Commerce at 662-3366.

Ice cream social planned for July 27

The village ice cream social will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 27, at the Orchard Park Railroad Depot, 395 S. Lincoln Ave. Sponsored by the Village of Orchard Park Events and Celebrations Committee, the social will provide 14 flavors of ice cream. There will also be activities provided by the Orchard Park Recreation Department. Fireworks will start at dusk.

Car show and cruise set for July 28

The 24th annual Lions Club Quaker Days Car and Motorcycle Show and Cruise will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 28, on North Buffalo Street in the Village of Orchard Park. The event will feature a collection of 23 classic car and motorcycle classes. There will also be 108 awards given out to the participating cars. Preregistration for a vehicle in the event is $18, or $20 the day of the show. Cars will register for the show at the Orchard Park High School parking lot on Baker Road starting at 8:30 a.m, and cruise to the show at 11 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Orchard Park Lions Club Blind & Charity Fund. Nativity of Our Lord to hold blood drive

A blood drive will be held from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 16, in the cafeteria of Nativity of Our Lord School, 4414 S. Buffalo St. To donate, positive identification is required, and donors must be in good health, at least 17 years of age and weigh 100 pounds or more. Walk-ins are welcome, or call the American Red Cross at 1-800-REDCROSS for an appointment.

Market to continue through Oct. 4

BlueCross BlueShield of WNY presents the third season of the Orchard Park farmers and artisans market. The market will run from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursdays until Oct. 4, in front of Orchard Fresh, 4050 N. Buffalo Road. Each week, the market will feature 18 vendors, made up of a mix of local farmers and artisans; two food trucks; and live musical talent from 4 to 6 p.m. Music is provided by Envision Real Estate and Premium Mortgage.

Southtowns Financial schedules shredding

Southtowns Financial Group, 3438 Orchard Park Road, will host a shredding day for documents and papers. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 13, at the Orchard Park Road location. Shredding is free, but the company will be accepting donations for the All In, All The Time Foundation, established to help Naval Special Warfare families. Donations totaling more than $25 will receive a limited edition T-shirt from 26 Shirts.

St. John Vianney to host annual run

St. John Vianney Church’s Summer Fest is sponsoring its 18th annual 5K Kickoff Run at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 19, at the St. John Vianney School Hall, 2950 Southwestern Blvd. Preregistration for adults is $23, or $30 on race day. Preregistration for individuals 14 and younger is $15, or $20 on race day. There will be a post-race party with beverages and snacks. Admission for nonracers is $7 at the door. Benefit for firefighter set for July 22

A benefit for Andy Lotocki will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at Woodlawn Fire Company, 3281 Lake Shore Road, Buffalo. Lotocki suffers from a rare form of brain cancer, anaplastic oligodendroglioma. A $25 donation at the benefit includes beer, wine and pop. Comedy and juggling headed to pavilion

Kid’s Day II: In Jest — will feature Nels Cremean performing comedy and juggling. The show will run from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, July 13, at the Pavilion, 60 S. Lincoln Ave.

Historical Society to hold lawn sale

The Orchard Park Historical Society will hold its annual lawn sale and theme basket auction from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, July 20, and Saturday, July 21, at the Jolls House Museum, 4287 S. Buffalo St. Jim Keller’s chainsaw woodworking demonstrations will begin at 9:30 a.m. House of Munch food truck will be at the museum from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Live music by Buckskin and Calico will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Auction winners will be chosen at 3 p.m. Saturday. Supper Bowl XV set for July 18

Tickets are now available for Plate Expectations 2018: The Supper Bowl XV, which will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, at the ADPRO Sports Training Center, One Bills Drive. The event will feature extensive food and beverage samples, auction items and raffles, a wall of wine and balloon pop games of chance, and onfield games and activities. Boston Town Band to play pavilion

Under the direction of Kyle Kohan, the Boston Town Band will perform from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at the pavilion, 60 S. Lincoln Ave.
