Library News

LIBRARY HOURS — 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Children’s programs

Toddler Story Time will begin at 10:30 a.m. every Monday from March 12 to April 16. Registration is required.

Preschool Story Time will begin at 10:30 a.m. every Tuesday from March 13 to April 17. Registration is required.

Independent Preschool Story Time will be held at 10:30 a.m. every Thursday from March 15 to April 19. Registration is required.

Lapsit Story Hour will be held at 10:30 a.m. every Friday from March 16 to April 20. Registration is required.

All-ages programs

The Knitting Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays.

Pop-Up Story Time at train station

At 10 a.m. Saturday, March 10, themed stories and activities will take place at the Orchard Park Railroad Depot.

Spring crafts

From 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 10, come plant a seed, make a sun catcher and create more spring crafts.

Parent and child yoga

At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, take part in parent and child yoga. Join a certified personal trainer at the library for some relaxing yoga before bedtime. For a parent with child age 6 and younger. Registration is required. Call 662-9851 or stop in to register.

Fairytale engineering

At 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 15, help some of your favorite fairytale characters solve their problems with hands-on projects. Geared for children ages 6 to 10.

Lego Club

At 1 p.m. Saturday, March 17, complete Lego challenges and explore a different Lego theme every month. For children ages 5 to 12.

Young Engineers

At 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, come to the library for a Lego program for young engineers. Each child receives his or her own kit of Legos to use during the program to complete various engineering challenges. Registration is required, call 662-9851 to register.

Speaker series

At 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, Jim Pace, of the Union Volunteers Fife and Drum Corps will take part in the 4th Tuesday Speaker Series. Pace will discuss the music of the Civil War.
