Burmon Drive reconstruction project meeting set for Aug. 16

Residents searching for more information on the Burmon Drive reconstruction project will have their opportunity to provide comments and ask questions on Wednesday, Aug. 16.

The meeting will run from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the basement meeting room of the Municipal Center, 4295 S. Buffalo St.

The informational meeting was announced during the Aug. 2 Town Board meeting. The board also authorized the advertisement for bids for the project during the meeting.

Councilman Eugene Majchrzak said during the meeting that the project scope will be discussed and the board will hear comments from residents of the area.

During 2016, the town received $250,000 in grants for the project. It received $100,000 for sewer repairs and $150,000 for the road reconstruction through the Community Development Block Grant program.

Speaking to The Bee in January, Supervisor Patrick Keem said water lines, sewer lines, storm drainage pipes, concrete gutters and pavement will be reconstructed.

Keem said the project will begin later this year.
