STADIUM EVENTS — Having been dormant for the past several months, New Era Field will kick into gear this month with a concert and two preseason games for the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills will host the Minnesota Vikings at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10. Police Chief Mark Pacholec said around 59,000 tickets have been distributed but only around 35,000 to 40,000 attendees are anticipated.

Following the preseason game, there will be a concert by Guns N Roses at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16. Pacholec expects 25,000 to 30,000 attendees.

The final preseason game will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, when the Bills take on the Detroit Lions.

Pacholec said the Code Red system would be used for all three events to notify residents in the area of which roads will be closed for stadium traffic.

Uber will also be set up outside the stadium for those who wish to take advantage of the ride-sharing opportunity. Cars driving for Uber will be stationed at the former Rogers Communications lot at the corner of Route 20A and Abbott Road, across the road from Danny’s South.

Previously, Pacholec said the area could fit around 100 cars.
