Lunch seminar planned for Jan. 17

Frank Insero with Insero Wealth Strategies will present “Succession Planning for Closely Held Businesses” for the Orchard Park Chamber of Commerce’s “Lunch and Learn” seminar. Learn how to determine the best successor — family member, partner/employees or sale to a third party — and various transfer techniques. The seminar will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, in the chamber office, 6524 E. Quaker St. The cost is $15 per person and includes lunch. To register, call the chamber at 662-3366.

La Galleria Banquets to hold Paint Night

La Galleria Banquets, 3923 Southwestern Blvd., will host its inaugural Paint Night from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19. The company has teamed up with Jessica Malloy of Paint with Personality. Guests can create either a painted canvas or a set of twin wine glasses. To register, call Malloy at 903-1167 or visit paintwithpersonality.com. The cost is $45 per person and includes all painting supplies to create the canvas or wine glasses, a drink ticket and light snacks. A cash bar will be available.

Senior Center looking for Asian mahjong

The Orchard Park Senior Center is trying to start an Asian mahjong group to meet at the center at 1 p.m. Mondays. The center is looking for players, and no experience is necessary. To sign up to play, call the center at 662-6452 or send an email to opsenior@orchardpark ny.org.

Winterfest slated for Jan. 28

The Erie County Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry and the Orchard Park Recreation Department will present Winterfest from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at Chestnut Ridge Park. The event will be held with or without snow and feature family activities including sledding, snowshoe hikes; snow sculpting with prizes awarded for cutest, funniest and most original; marshmallow roasting, arts and crafts, hay rides ($5 for adults, $3 for children) and wood branding.

Meat raffle set for Jan. 27

The Orchard Park Destination ImagiNation Boosters will present a meat raffle from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Matthew Glab Post 1477, 1965 Abbott Road, Lackawanna. Tickets are $6 pre sale and $8 at the door. The cost includes a roast beef sandwich, unlimited beverages and a door prize ticket. Additional sandwiches are $2. Networking meeting set for Jan. 25

Business Connections, the Orchard Park Chamber of Commerce’s networking group, will meet at 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, in the basement of the Municipal Center, 4295 S. Buffalo St.
