OP woman charged by police for Leandra’s law violation

An Orchard Park woman was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated with a 15-year-old passenger in the car Tuesday night, according to Orchard Park police.

At around 8:45 p.m., police stopped a car being driven erratically on Thorn Avenue. The vehicle was operated by Nicole Fronczak, 42.

According to the report, she appeared to be highly intoxicated, failed field sobriety tests and screened positive for alcohol.

Fronczak was charged with DWI and transported to the police station, where she submitted to a breath test, allegedly registering a 0.25 percent blood-alcohol level.

Police said Fronczak was operating her vehicle while intoxicated and while she had a 15-year-old female passenger with her.

She was subsequently charged with DWI common law, aggravated DWI, felony DWI (Leandra’s law), endangering the welfare of a child and failure to stay in lane.
