The granddaughter of Bart and Marlana Stack of Orchard Park recently was named Junior Miss Litchfield County 2012 during the Miss Litchfield County pageant in Thomaston, Conn.

This is Tara Shaye Lynch’s second year winning Junior Miss in the organization. Miss Litchfield County is a preliminary competition to the Miss Connecticut state pageant and is a part of the Miss America organization.

Tara is a sixth-grade student and serves on the Student Council. She has been a competitive Irish dancer for seven years and is a dance student at the Shamrock School of Dance. She is also a member of the Soccer-Plus U-11 premier travel soccer team.

As part of her year, Tara will work on her platform, “Run the World: Building Confidence and Character in Girls.”

The 30-minute presentation is designed to help girls in grades four through eight develop and maintain a positive image and self-confidence during preteen years.
