Assembly candidate Fahey receives support from three parties

Chris Fahey Chris Fahey The Erie County Democratic, Conservative and Working Families parties have nominated Chris Fahey for the seat in the state Assembly’s 145th District.

This district includes Orchard Park and West Seneca, as well as parts of the cities of Buffalo and Lackawanna.

A special election to fill the seat has been set for March 20.

Fahey’s campaign reportedly raised more than $50,000, according to filings with the New York State Board of Elections.

The funds were raised through small contributions from residents in Western New York, according to a press release sent on the candidate’s behalf, which also noted that he had knocked on the doors of approximately 5,000 voters within the district.

“I am grateful to have received broad support from community leaders and concerned citizens from throughout the district,” said Fahey in the release.

If elected, he intends on introducing legislation that would reduce electric rates to make factories and commercial enterprises more competitive, and to save homeowners money.
