Story Time programs
Me Time Lapsit: 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 3. For children aged 6 months to 2 years.
Toddler Time: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 6. For children aged 2.
Preschool Storyhour: 10:30 to 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7. For children aged 3 to 5 years.
Weekly programs
“Hanging out at the coolest public library” is a weekly event from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. every Tuesday for children. Each week there are games and crafts.
Knitting Group meets at 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the library. Both experienced and new knitters are welcome. The Knitting Group is led by library staff member Susan Besanceney. Supplies are provided, but attendees may also bring their own.
Guessing Jar winners
The Children’s Guessing Jar at the library had two winners for the month of January. The jar contained 173 crayons. Pat Burke and Peter Rattanaphasouk were the lucky contestants. A total of 325 guesses were entered. This month’s jar contains foam letters. Children may enter a guess each time that they visit the library. Each winner receives a book.
BPOvations
From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, members from the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will give a musical presentation celebrating the contributions of American composers to the world of symphonic literature with Adams Lollapalooza, Harris Symphony No. 3, Copland's Four Dances from Rodeo, O'Connor's Improvised Violin Concerto and Ellington's Suite from The River and Black, Brown, and Beige.
